Born and raised in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County, Dr. Johnson attended Hempfield High School and then Ursinus College near Philadelphia. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s dental school, having received the Mosby Scholarship Award for Scholastic Excellence. In that same year, he established a dental practice in Annville, Pennsylvania. In 2000, he moved to a much larger and technically updated office in Cleona, where he now practices.
Dr. Johnson is a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania and American Dental Associations. He is the past chairman of the Pennsylvania Dental Association Council on Membership. He is currently the secretary/treasurer of the Fourth District Dental Society and a delegate for the PDA.
Besides attending numerous continuing education courses throughout the year, Dr. Johnson has participated in the educational curriculum of Dr. Frank Spears of the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education, with a focus on advanced oral health, reconstruction, and cosmetic dentistry.
